Infrastructure Construction Inspection Services

Jtec HCM provided construction inspection services for the City of Vallejo under an on-call contract. Our responsibilities included inspecting work quality and materials used in a variety of public works infrastructure construction projects and subdivisions to ensure conformance with approved plans, specifications and departmental regulations; and to maintain records and prepare reports pertaining to projects inspected. More specifically we:

• Reviewed plans and specifications

• Attended pre-construction conferences

• Inspected materials for conformance to specifications

• Inspected various structures such as utilities, streets, sidewalks, gutters, structural concrete, fabricated steel, masonry, sewers and storm systems

• Inspected water system projects, reservoirs and pump stations

• Performed inspections of pipeline installations, trenching, backfilling, testing, corrosion protection, and paving

• Took samples of materials for analysis; performed field tests for material / workmanship quality; coordinated test results and verified approval of structure

• Observed work during progress and upon completion, ensuring that safety procedures were followed

• Prepared necessary reports for progress payments

• Issued various permits as required

• Prepared activity records and reports

• Coordinated design alterations between city and developer
